Introducing My Bermuda Wedding

Don’t you hate it when you can’t find what you’re looking for? When it’s either too big, too small, too much or not enough? I am not sure about you, but I am not one to settle until if find what I want.

So you’ve said “Yes!”, you set the date and begin to plan your wedding. You’re about to embark upon the adventure of a lifetime but you sure as heck don’t want to start by compromising. I am with you on that one.

So who is My Bermuda Wedding?

My name is Nikki and almost two decades ago I started Bermuda Bride; Bermuda’s most referred wedding planning company. We’ve planned around 1700 weddings, we’ve won amazing awards, we’ve handled the most delicate of situations, we’ve fulfilled dreams, – but there was a hiccup: Bermuda Bride started when couples were coming down for wedding weekends. Planes brimming with guests, huge affairs planned with days of activities and fathers almost emptying out their wallets. You get the picture? I thought so!

Planning a wedding with a guest list that’s out of control and everyone offering their opinion – chances are, that’s exactly why you didn’t want to get married at home.

That’s when you decided… let’s get married in Bermuda – you begin to plan your destination wedding but it all feels a bit overwhelming –  So you begin to look for a wedding planner. But it has to be the right one. Right?

For almost a decade, we have been planning and designing (and brilliantly executing) beach weddings. Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Holland America and a handful of others  – come to Bermuda throughout the summer months. With our blue seas and pink sandy beaches, it’s the perfect place to get married!

The demand for beach weddings from couples coming by cruise grew and the trend was not going away. Destination weddings were here to stay.

We kept doing cruise ship weddings as Bermuda Bride but our services (and pricing) did not change. Until this winter.

With the number of cruise ship weddings overtaking the number of boutique four-days weddings, it became clear that we needed to take a fresh approach. Peel back the layers. We reached out to past brides, who’d come down by cruise ship to be married, to find out what they really, really wanted from a wedding planner.
